Why we give
God is generous and so he calls us to be as well. All that we have comes from God, so in worship and thanksgiving we are simply giving back to God a portion of what was originally His. What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at, and it helps proclaim the gospel and establish His church. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
In-Person Giving
Cash and checks can be dropped off during worship service or in the giving boxes at the back of the sanctuary.
Mailed-In Giving
Checks can be made payable to Chinese Bible Church of MD or CBCM and mailed to the following address: 4414 Muncaster Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20853.
Non-Cash Giving
We accept the giving of stocks, mutual funds, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), IRAs, and other financial accounts. Please email finance.staff@cbcm.org for transfer instructions.
Online Giving Options
PayPal Giving Fund
- PayPal Giving Fund - No processing fee. All giving is directed to our General Fund.
VANCO
- Vanco - All giving is subject to a processing fee. Please consider adding an additional amount to your giving to cover the fee.
- Giving is available for the General Fund, Missions Fund, Building Fund, Caring Fund, or Scholarship Fund.
Year-End Tax Information
Your giving is tax-deductible. We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3).
For giving to be included in this year's annual giving statement, it must be:
- Postmarked by December 31 for mailed checks
- Received by December 31 for in-person giving
- Cleared by December 31 for electronic giving
The annual giving statement will be available by January 31st of the following year.
PayPal Giving Fund (PPGF)
PayPal Giving Fund (PPGF) will automatically issue an official, IRS-compliant tax receipt directly to your email for giving made to enrolled churches. This receipt serves as your giving record, confirming no goods or services were received in exchange.
Vanco
For each transaction, there will be a receipt sent via email by Vanco. All giving processed online by Vanco will also be included in the annual CBCM giving receipt.
